Transitional Social Housing
Small and densely populated, the building and land supply at Hong Kong has always been a concern for its citizens. Transitional Social Housing (TSH) is an innovative housing type that broke the traditional dichotomy of private and public housing, and has been contributing to the alleviation of acute housing needs for the grassroots families residing in Hong Kong.
JCDISI initiated the work on Transitional Social Housing (TSH) to provide a platform for passionate built environment professionals and social workers to exchange thoughts on how we could improve the quality of life of the inadequately housed through TSH and accelerate its delivery in HK. Besides helping to build social capital in the community to expedite TSH delivery, JCDISI has accumulated significant first-hand knowledge through R&D and knowledge transfer from construction, management and TSH operators to become a leading think tank of the TSH ecosystem.
