Season 16: Smart Urban Living with Dementia

Season 16: Smart Urban Living with Dementia (2023.10.03)

Under double ageing (ageing of population and building simultaneously), people with dementia (PwD) faces more challenges in their daily lives. PwD are gradually troubled by the problems of sensory challenge, which affect how they see, hear and feel, causing a risk of danger in various circumstances.

With the aspiration to shape dementia care culture in the community last season, in this season we will explore to identify pain points and seek potential spatial design solutions to facilitate smart urban living for PwD in such a double-ageing vertical city. We hope to break through the challenges and innovate spatial ideas with the concept of design thinking, establishing a dementia-friendly neighbourhood in the long term.
